I contacted Alternative Landscapes Inc. through Kijiji because we needed some soil removed and sod put down. Steve was very receptive and got back to us promptly. He came by and gave us a quote that seemed very low and it didn't make sense when you broke down the numbers. We agreed that I would pay the cost of materials plus a price for labour and Steve would come the following Friday to get the work completed. On Thursday evening, I called Steve to confirm what time they will be there on Friday and he said between 7:30 & 8am. By 9am, there was no sign of workers and so I text Steve to get an update. He never responded to my text and when I tried calling, the line went dead (I'm sure he hung up). I tried calling again and it wouldn't connect. An hour later I called from my wife's phone and Steve picked up. I told him it was me, he sighed and hung up. Nothing worse than when you need something done and the person can't be bothered to even call and cancel, they just don't show up.
