In November of 2011 a group of close friends and family saw a great opportunity within the Insurance industry, with years of leadership and business experience the adventure started with the creation of the JMHI Insurance Group.
In 2012 JMHI purchased Gary K. Stewart Insurance Brokers Ltd. providing deep knowledge of the industry and an undisputable history. Now armed with over 100 years of experience JMHI is merely modernizing a well-oiled machine.
The brokerage was established in 1896 by D.V. Hicks in the city of Dresden, sold to Claire Forshee, then to Ernest Wells in 1915, becoming H.E.Wells & Son in 1928. In 1974 it was purchased and renamed to Gary K. Stewart Insurance Brokers Ltd. now operating as JMHI Insurance Group.
