Discover Hope Counselling provides counselling services in Airdrie for individuals and couples of all ages.
One of my main objectives for therapy is to form strong working relationships with my clients so that we can collaboratively work towards shared goals. Probably the strongest predictor of success in therapy is how well the therapist and the client get along, which is why I strive to make sure that every client that I work with feels heard, valued, important and understood. As individuals feel safe to share the thoughts, experiences and emotions that have been burdening them, they open themselves up to new insights, emotional and mental healing, acceptance, and ultimately, hope. As clients share these experiences, I strive to support them by providing a non-judgmental atmosphere as well as research-based tools and strategies for accelerating change. Children/Youth Counselling Statement Over the course of my counselling career, I have found great success and personal satisfaction as I have had the privilege of working with children and youth. I am always impressed with their resilience and ability to rapidly find healing and hope. In my work with children and youth, it has become clear that the more they trust me, the more we are able to progress in therapy. I cultivate trust by being open, genuine, non-judgmental, connected with the present moment, and by building their capacity for self-confidence and self-compassion.
