Contacted JBD bookkeeping as I started a new business and began using quickbooks on line. Looked around within Quickbooks and there was an area where you could hire a bookkeeper - perfect! Looked for one in my area and Jan seemed perfect, called here and after an animated phone call she was ready to work on book keeping for my new business. Things went south quickly when the first business HST/GST was due, it was wrong a couple of times, then she charged extra time for having to go back and recalculate.....she remitted the tax finally. Got a letter from Revenue Canada saying the tax that she remitted, on my behalf, was never remitted! So I paid it again. Asked her for a clear and concise response and was greeted with an addition bill for time...she never did repay the lost funds. When I decided to try and get a new book keeper she charged me a fee for closing my account! Seriously? I hope this review helps people that are starting new businesses - there are people that prey on novice
