I believe in personalizing and customizing treatments plans to fits the needs of the individual client, rather than trying to fit all clients into one or two psychotherapy modes. I work in partnership with clients to assist them in exploring and prioritizing their issues, in a safe, positive, environment. Treatment plans are flexible, evolving with the needs of the individual person. Appointment times and dates are also very flexible, with evening appointments available as needed.
I believe in treating the entire person, rather than one part of them, since people are complex & issues tend to be interrelated. I combine elements from different psychotherapeutic modalities, in order to meet the needs of an individual.. This applies to all issues, including AD/HD, giftedness, depression, anxiety, & addictions. One treatment modality that can be very helpful with many different issues is hypnotherapy, and I find that many clients benefit greatly from this type of therapy, once we have established good trust and rapport, and have explored some of the most important therapeutic issues.
