SUSSEX SUCKS!!! Ok, where to begin. First of all, they woudn't give us a place (2 late 20's professionals) without a co signer. We literally showed and printed them bank statements and investment accounts that showed over 50 grand cash. We just moved to Winnipeg, and they said that wasn't good enough, they needed proof that we had 3 times the rental amount in NET income. Do you know how embarrassing it is, as a 29 year old professional to go ask your parents to co-sign? Second, if you apply for one of their apartments, they hold your damage deposit while they decide if they want you or not. If you then find something else and they approve you for theirs, they keep your deposit. If they decline you, you do get the deposit back, but have effectively wasted up to a week of searching time. Next, the disorganization. They made me call to verify every fax I sent because, "we lose them alot". No pet policy Bed bugs are rampant in their properties (look it up) Horrible customer service. etc
