I work for you the client not the bank, so instead of just offering one resource I am able to offer over 100 lenders. If you were to shop around your mortgage each bank would have to pull your credit bureau, which affects your rating each time it is pulled. I am able to pull one credit bureau and use that with every lender available to me. I also am able to offer the best rates because I do not work for the bank, they don't pay for my office or supplies, therefore I cost them a lot less than an in house specialist would. Also the broker market has a lot more competitive rates so if the lender wants to sell a mortgage they have to give a low rate much the same as the other lenders on the market.
