From a humble beginning in 1975 as a shopping mall kiosk that only sold whole bean coffee, Second Cup has become the largest Canadian-owned specialty coffee retailer. And since its inception, Second Cup has grown to more than 340 cafés across Canada and over 50 cafés internationally, making Second Cup a second home to hundreds of guests every day.

This is my favourite place for a latte and snack with friends whenever we need to catch up. The space is warmly lit and very comfortable, and it's often very busy, but it adds to the effect. They have a great selection of both hot and cold beverages (I love the mint chocolate latte available around Christmas time) and the skinny vanilla bean latte any other day. A specialty coffee runs from about $4.25 and up, so it's more expensive than Tim Horton's, but it is worth the money. Their carrot cake is AMAAAZING, as well as their date squares. They sell bagels and some sandwiches as well but I haven't tried them. Overall great ambience, always friendly staff, and delicious beverages.
