Perennial Planting Starts in spring after the frost leaves the ground. Services can include, soil amendment, planting, scheduled watering and fertilizing. Summer Flowering Bulb Planting Starts in spring after the frost leaves the ground. Services can include, soil amendment, planting, scheduled watering and fertilizing. Annual Planting Services can include, soil amendment, planting, scheduled watering and fertilizing. Experience has shown that the May long weekend is too soon for planting annuals in Grande Prairie. Late Summer Bulb Planting Planting of spring flowering bulbs starts in the third week of August as bulbs need 5 - 6 weeks to root in the soil before the first hard frost.
