Whatever the occasion, the season, or the setting, I’ll capture the all the action and interaction that tell the story of your special event.
I shoot in a particular style called ‘reportage’. Since I trained as a news photographer, I’m all about capturing unposed and unscripted moments. Doing photography this way allows the photographer to document the day and tell a compelling story that follows the chronological sequence of the day’s events. Naturally, I also do classic and traditional portrait work. Often, I combine both styles to render truly unique and comprehensive result. What it costs: Family and group portraits: On location or in your home, we’ll work together to create images with personality and lasting appeal. Family and group portrait sessions in and near Regina, Saskatchewan start at $75. That rate includes an hour long photo session and all the images, provided to you in three sizes (emailing/sharing, print quality and enlargement quality) on CD. I’ll create a gallery of what I consider to be the best shots, and do some retouching, cropping, colour correcting on those at no extra charge. Yes, pets of all kinds are most welcome (fur people are family, too!). Even livestock. Rodeos, Equestian, Agricultural Fairs etc: And speaking of livestock, nothing makes me happier than spending a day at the local ag fair, rodeo or jumping event capturing the action, highlights, victories and celebrations at these events. Gathering together and enjoying these time-honoured and proud traditions in the spirit of good-natured competition is cherished way of life in Saskatchewan. Let me be capture the day from start to end. Cost? The completely unheard of rate called ‘FREE’. Yep. You read that right. Invite me to shoot and all the images are yours to cherish, print, use in marketing materials (with photo credit to me, naturally) etc. Participants can get images from me for the shocking low rate of $10 per images. Beauties and the beasts: Horses at the wedding? No worries! Adore your alpacas? Let’s capture the unique connection you have with your herd. From cattle to cats, ponies to pythons, I love them one and all. If you do too, that’s a love worth documenting. I’m also available to come out for private shoots if you want shots of you or a loved one riding, competing at a local show etc. No set price, we’ll negotiate something based on time and travel Weddings: Your big day is a big deal. It starts from the moment you and your future spouse wake up and usually goes until the wee hours.I can be with you all day, most of the day or just part of the day as you desire. The Celebration package (approx 6 hours) includes : Pre-wedding preparations – All the hair-styling, dress-pressing, gown-downing, good-times plus all the tender intimate moments between mums, friends, bridesmaids and other well-wishing attendants. Ceremony: Before, during and after – I’ll catch your arrival, the tenderness and love you’ll exchange during the ceremony (within the bounds of what’s permissible according to the officiant and rules of the venue), and your thrilling, emotional exit as the New Couple. Group shots – Absolutely optional. The current trend is moving away from the stand-and-smile set-ups of yesterday and instead featuring the groups engaged in more relaxed poses or engaged in a group activity (Giant bike? Tug-of-war? Fishing trip? The possibilities are truly endless). This is YOUR day. I’m more than happy to work with you on creating a fun and unique group session. Reception and fun: From arriving in style to your first dance as Man and Wife, I’ve got you covered. I’ll also be capturing all the action happening in the crowd as your friends and family enjoy the festivities. All images from the day are provided to the couple on CD or DVD. I will also create a gallery of what I consider the best shots of the day and do some basic cropping, colour correction and other minor improvements to make them extra great! Sometimes I get really carried away and add effects such as black and white treatments and other cool stuff so I apologize in advance for falling so deeply in love your images that I just want to keep making them nicer and nicer.
