I shipped a package to a friend who forgot something at my place. She works from home so was expected the package to be delivered on the date specified by UPS but she did not hear the doorbell ring all day. That evening when I checked the status online it said something to the effect of delivery attempted, doorbell rang but no answer. That is a complete lie - the delivery guy was probably held up but it is not right to say they attempted delivery!
